BOARD OF DIRECTORS
DANIEL W. RUMSEY — Executive Chairman
Mr. Rumsey is the Company Executive Chairman, a position he was appointed to in July 2010. He previously served as Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Company from June 2009 to July 2010. Mr. Rumsey has also served as director of the Company since August 2007. He is currently the Founder and President of SEC Connect, LLC (March 2007 – Present), and Managing Partner of Disclosure Law Group (March 2009 – Present). From 2003 to March 2006, Mr. Rumsey held various other positions at P-Com, Inc. (the predecessor to Azzurra Holding Corporation), including Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, Chief Financial Officer and Acting Chief Executive Officer. From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Rumsey was Vice President and General Counsel of Knowledge Kids Network, Inc., a multi-media education company. Prior to joining Knowledge Kids Network, Inc., Mr. Rumsey was the President and General Counsel of Aspen Learning Systems and NextSchool, Inc., which he joined in February 1997. Mr. Rumsey sold Aspen Learning Systems and NextSchool to Knowledge Kids Network in 1999. Mr. Rumsey has an extensive legal and finance background, dating back to 1987 when he served as a staff attorney in the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of the Company, Mr. Rumsey serves on the Board of Directors of Azzurra Holding Corporation, and World Racing Group, Inc.
ANTHONY DIGIANDOMENICO — Director
Mr. DiGiandomenico was appointed as a director on May 25, 2004, and serves on the Company’s Audit and Corporate Governance & Nominating Committees. Mr. DiGiandomenico co-founded MDB Capital Group LLC, a NASD member broker-dealer, in 1997 and serves as a managing director of the firm. From 1990 to 1995, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Digian Company, a real estate development company. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Orion Acquisition Corp. II, a corporation which files reports pursuant to the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, which was formed in 1995 to acquire an operating business by purchase, merger or otherwise.
MILTON MAKRIS — Director
Mr. Makris brings over 30 years of technical, business and entrepreneurial experience to the Company, including executive management experience with BZinc, Amber Ready, Inc., Marathon Staffing, Motorola, Lucent, Cabletron Systems, Digital Equipment Corporation as well as several start-ups. He has been the Chief Operating Officer of Amber Ready, Inc. since September 2009 and a member of the Board of Directors since January 2009. Between June 2001 and March 2009, Mr. Makris was the Director of Engineering for Motorola Inc. Mr. Makris is also involved in a consulting, advisory, and business development role to several small companies.
AJ ROBBINS — Director
Mr. Robbins was appointed as a director on July 10, 2006, and serves on the Company’s Audit and Compensation Committees. Mr. Robbins is currently the Managing Partner of AJ Robbins PC, which he founded in 1986. Mr. Robbin’s practice focuses on accounting and auditing for corporate and securities work for both private and public companies. Mr. Robbins is a Certified Public Accountant registered in Colorado, New York and California as well as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and registered with Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.
KEVIN SHERMAN — Director
Kevin joined BAZI June 2009 as Vice President of Strategy and Network Development and was appointed CEO and President July 2010. From May 2008 to May 2009 he served as Senior Manager of Network Development for Product Partners, LLC. Other previous positions held include Chief Operating Officer of Hand & Associates from January 2008 to May 2008. Kevin has an impressive record of revenue enhancement and organizational development for Product Partners, LLC emphasizing fitness and nutrition, which was listed in Entrepreneur magazine’s 500 Fastest Growing Businesses in America in 2006 with current sales over $400 million a year. Kevin, along with his team, implemented various strategies and initiatives that drove two-fold growth in distributors in less than a year. During his tenure, Kevin oversaw exponential growth in revenue and built a culture committed to excellence.
DEBBIE WILDRICK — DIrector
Debbie brings 30 years of beverage experience to BAZI with her former leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies including 7-Eleven, Inc. and Tropicana North America (Pepsico). Her leadership roles include a strong background in building start-up brands including FRS Healthy Energy and Sundance Juice Sparklers (known today as IZZE), a brand which she helped grow to 100 million dollars in the early 1990s. She has also worked with leading companies in the industry to include The McLane Company, Exxon/Mobil, Target, GNC, Rite Aid, Safeway, Wyndham Hotels and many others. Before joining BAZI, Wildrick built a successful consulting business dedicated to helping new and emerging brands maximize their potential by driving sales and profitability. In addition to her robust career, Wildrick has served as the education chair of the Network of Executive Women for more than six years. She is a regular panelist, speaker and columnist for BevNet, the leading beverage-oriented media company, producing a web site, print magazine and live conference series. Wildrick was president of the Association of Women Executives in 2003 and 2004 and is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas and Cornell Food Executive Program.
